Waterford City & County Council is delighted to welcome you back in 2025 to the Waterford St. Patrick’s Day Festival including the parade on Monday, March 17th! The St. Patrick’s Day Festival will run for four fun-filled days from March 14th–17th 2025 in Waterford City and will celebrate the very best of what the city has to offer and The 11th annual Cappoquin parade commences in the West Waterford town at 11.30 am and in Tramore, the 2024 St Patrick’s Day parade will commence from 1.30 pm proceeding across the Summerhill Junction onto the Old Waterford Road (R682) to the Racecourse Roundabout and then heading downhill to the GAA Roundabout where it will proceed along St. Patrick’s Day Parade: The theme for this year’s parade is ‘ Saints & Scholars’ and will begin at 1pm sharp on St. Patrick’s Day, Monday March 17 th. Three-time Olympian and European Gold medallist Grand Marshall of Waterford’s St. Partick’s Day parade, Thomas Barr, along with members of Ferrybank AFC are expected to lead out St. Patrick's Day is a favorite holiday in the U.S because of the million-plus Irish who came here to escape The Great Hunger. Now in our own Wisconsin communities, we are seeing a great deal of hunger. What better way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day than with a parade that fills some empty food pantry shelves, followed by a street party! The parade will start at 1pm, with entries gathering at the Bridge Street end of the Quay. The parade begins at the Waterford Bus Station and will proceed along the Quay, past the Clock Tower and the Plaza, moving around to the Mall. The viewing platform will be outside City Hall and the route will finish at the Parnell St. end of the Mall.
